TCN provides a 24 hour crisis hotline for clients and non-clients
of our agency. In the event that you experience a crisis situation,
including feeling suicidal or homicidal, you can call the hotline
24 hours a day, every day of the year. You will be connected with
an experienced hotline operator and provided individualized
attention to your needs and developing a plan to meet your goals.
In the event of a crisis situation requiring mental health intervention,
you may walk-in, without an appointment, to our Xenia office between the
hours of 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. You will meet with the next
available crisis clinician who will assess your situation and assist you
in clarifying the problem, identifying options, and developing a plan for
ongoing problem resolution. In the event that your need occurs after 8pm
and before 8am, please telephone the crisis hotline who can contact our
on-call therapist when clinically necessary. The hotline worker, on-call
therapist, and psychiatrist will work together to ensure that you receive
clinically appropriate treatment during the evening hours.
Often crises occur in the community or a person's home and there are
difficulties with getting that person to our office. When clinically
necessary, a crisis intervention counselor will go to the home or community
location of the person needing services to provide crisis assessment services and
referrals for ongoing assistance. Please understand when using this service
that the crisis counselor will be accompanied by a law enforcement officer
for the purpose of ensuring safety for all parties. The presence of the
officer is not for arrest purposes.
